At the same time changes in customer wishes are obvious, as well as the quality demand that is put on the core elements of the hotel industry: lodging and food & beverages. Within the dynamic international peoples-business called 'Hospitality Industry', it is vitally important to meet the demands that are put on the provider.
Changing, innovating and continually creating new concepts and new modes of service delivery have become the daily reality for hotel managers of these times.
The international hospitality industry requires graduates with a high level of academic knowledge and skills, able to function as professionals in an international framework and at the same time possessing a high level of knowledge and appreciation for the core elements of the hospitality industry: lodging, food and beverage.
Profile
The Master in International Hospitality Management is designed to equip students with the necessary professional, academic, and personal competencies for managing hospitality organisations. An analytical and critical attitude towards hospitality management aspects is developed.
Characteristics
The Master in International Hospitality Management is developed by the School of Graduate Studies in co-operation with the Institute of International Hospitality Management of the Stenden University. The programme concentrates on state of the art knowledge in the field of hospitality.
The programme is based on constructivist learning principles and focuses on the acquisition and application of knowledge in the context of hospitality practices. This enables the student to integrate new knowledge in a knowledge base and to apply the gained knowledge to the (future) company or organisation.
