For years, the "Keuzegids hoger Onderwijs" (Guide for the Selection of higher Education in the Netherlands) and "Elsevier" magazine special on the best studies in the Netherlands have consistently ranked Stenden University of Applied Sciences – formerly CHN – among the top ten of Dutch universities.

Our professors are professionals and research fellows. The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) of Stenden University of Applied Sciences Leeuwarden offers four graduate study programs (master programs), each with a double degree. This is because the SGS programs are accredited by the London Metropolitan University and since 2004, the SGS of Stenden University of Applied Sciences is one of the first professional universities with accreditations of the Nederlands Vlaams Accreditatie Orgaan (Dutch Flemish accreditation agency).
